An ET story about religious groups protesting KISS concerts & their lyrics. This was at the end of the first makeup era. Their popularity was fading at the time (Peter & Ace had already left the band) and Creatures Of The Night (a personal fav of mine...an a**kicker!) was not selling well. Soon after this they took the makeup off and released Lick It Up. It resurrected their careers.

When the make-ip came off for Lick It Up, I was in my hay day. I remember seeing them on MTV and thinking "NO way is that KISS"
